About the Attorney
Ms. Deniz was born in Puerto Rico and completed her J.D. from the Pontifical Catholic University School of Law. Upon graduating while waiting for her bar exam results, Ms. Deniz worked as an assistant for the Garrison Attorney at the U.S. Southern Command. After obtaining her license to practice law and prior to opening her own law firm, Ms. Deniz worked for a few years at several Large International Immigration Law firms in South Florida.
Ms. Deniz lived many years of her life in the state of Florida where she had a wonderful opportunity to always be surrounded by people of different countries around the world. Her mother was a flight attendant and because of that Ms. Deniz has been flying to countries internationally since she was a small child. She took her first international flight alone at the age of three years old. Ms. Deniz’s mother instilled in her the love and appreciation of all cultures which she has cemented through her extensive contact and fostering of interpersonal relationships with people of international origin. Ms. Deniz has had a wonderful experience in every country she has been to and always knew that when she grew up she wanted a career that would allow her to have contact with people from all over the world. Ms. Deniz fluently speaks Spanish, English and is conversational in Portuguese.
From the moment, she entered law school Ms. Deniz knew she was going to be an immigration attorney and has dedicated her entire career to the protection of the immigrants in this country. From her first job as an attorney, Ms. Deniz has zealously fought to maintain deserving people in the United States of America, legally. Ms. Deniz believes that we are all immigrants from somewhere and we deserve a chance to contribute positively to this ever growing and wonderful country.
Ms. Deniz is part of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and regularly volunteers for the Military Assistance Program where she assists United States Military members and their families with their immigration issues. Ms. Deniz also sporadically takes international civil rights mainly for asylum seekers cases on a pro-bono basis in liaison with Catholic Legal Services of Miami.
